eXp ICON Agent Program (2025 Guide: Requirements & Stock Awards)

What Is ICON?

ICON recognizes agents who meet certain production requirements and demonstrate eXp’s core values within a 12-month capping period. ICONs are invited to exclusive groups and events for collaboration and growth.

How to Qualify

Agents must first cap ($16,000) and then achieve additional production requirements during their anniversary year. Transactions must be fully settled and properly documented in SkySlope. The ICON team confirms eligibility.

Official Notification

Once the Production Requirement is met, agents are typically notified by the ICON Program by the 25th of the following month. From there, they complete additional steps for full ICON benefits.

Stock Awards: Up to $16,000

Transparent breakdown of the components

$8,000 — Production Award

Awarded upon achieving ICON production during your anniversary year (after capping and meeting the program’s production criteria).

$4,000 — Cultural Commitment Award

Earned by “giving back” to the eXp community (e.g., teaching, panels, mentoring activities per program guidelines). One-year vesting applies and requires remaining licensed exclusively with eXp Realty through vesting.

Up to $4,000 — Event Attendance

Two $2,000 awards for attending approved eXp events (e.g., eXpCON). No vesting period for these event awards. Limit of two per active ICON benefit year.

  5. Cultural Commitment: Complete approved “give back” activities to earn the $4,000 award.
  6. Events: Attend approved events (up to 2 × $2,000) for event awards.

What’s the difference between capping and ICON?
Capping is when your 20% company dollar totals $16,000 within your anniversary year. ICON requires you to cap and meet additional production and cultural requirements to receive stock awards and recognition.
Can you achieve ICON more than once?
Yes. Qualified agents can achieve ICON in each new 12-month capping period, subject to program terms and eligibility.
Is there vesting on ICON stock awards?
The Cultural Commitment Award ($4,000) has a one-year vest and requires remaining exclusively licensed with eXp Realty at the vesting mark. Event Attendance Awards (up to $4,000) have no vesting. Program terms apply to all awards.
Do I have to apply to become ICON?
