eXp Revenue Share & Co-Sponsorship: How It Works (Compliance-Safe)
A plain-English guide to eXp’s Revenue Share model and the new Co-Sponsor Program. No hype — just how the structure works, who’s eligible, and where to run the numbers with the official calculator.
Quick Summary: eXp Revenue Share & Co-Sponsorship
This guide explains how eXp Realty revenue share works, how co-sponsorship works, who is eligible, how sponsors and co-sponsors may be compensated, and common questions agents ask when evaluating eXp Realty. It is designed to help agents understand the difference between commission income, sponsorship, co-sponsorship, and revenue share before making brokerage decisions.
Understanding the Bigger eXp Opportunity
If you are researching revenue share, co-sponsorship, ownership, freedom, and long-term opportunity inside eXp Realty, this video provides additional perspective on how some agents think about the broader model.
What Revenue Share Is
When you attract a productive agent to eXp, you may earn a portion of company revenue from their closings according to eXp Realty’s current revenue share program rules. This is separate from your own transaction commissions.
How It’s Calculated
eXp manages revenue share through its internal systems. For estimates and planning, use the official Revenue Share Calculator and avoid custom income claims or unofficial projections.
Primary Sponsor vs. Co-Sponsor
Understanding roles & support
Primary Sponsor is chosen during onboarding — the person who most influenced the agent to join eXp. The Primary Sponsor may retain Levels 2–7 revenue share, FLQA qualifications, and stock awards according to eXp Realty’s current program rules.
Co-Sponsor may be selected by eligible new agents after onboarding under current co-sponsor program guidelines. The Co-Sponsor provides additional support and may be eligible for certain compensation opportunities according to current eXp rules.
Important: Co-sponsorship is designed to add support. It does not change the Primary Sponsor. Program details, eligibility, and compensation rules may change, so agents should always verify current requirements with official eXp Realty documentation.
Eligibility & Rules
Who can be a Co-Sponsor?
- Eligibility: Co-sponsor eligibility depends on current eXp Realty program rules.
- Timing: Co-sponsor selection windows and deadlines should be verified through current eXp documentation.
- One Co-Sponsor: Agents should confirm whether only one co-sponsor is allowed under the current program.
- Cross-border support: Co-sponsor support may be possible across different markets or countries when allowed by current program rules.
- Compliance: Agents should avoid unauthorized income claims, aggressive solicitation, misleading promises, or non-compliant recruiting behavior.
